Vue générale de l'auberge

Area D is brand new, having opened in Feburary 2014. It was started by a Swiss entrepreneur and his Palestinian friend in an incredible building, with massive arched windows in every room providing the most memorable view of any hostel you're likely to visit. We welcome all sorts of visitors, with a special focus on those who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the complex political situation.

Area D has 12 rooms, including dorms, private rooms with shared bathrooms, and large rooms with bathrooms intended for longer-term stays.

We have a large common area with the best view in town, a juice bar, and a huge kitchen for cooking communal meals. We provide all guests with free wifi (plus 2 free, dedicated computer terminals), tours, and laundry service.

Area D is located on the edge of the bustling central fruit market, half a block from the central bus station, and across from the city's largest mosque. The neighborhood is full of life in the daytime but very quiet at night, even though you only need to walk 2 blocks to the city's central square (al Manara) for a visit to one of Ramallah's famous bars or to get your 3 AM shwarma fix.

We offer an unbeatable location next to the bus station, a stunning view via massive windows taking in a settlement, two refugee camps, the central fruit market and Jerusalem, 50 beds in large, clean rooms for budget-conscious backpackers, longer-term rooms for volunteers/interns, a big lounge and communal kitchen so you can meet like-minded visitors, information from and connections to local NGOs, and young staff eager to answer all your questions.
